HRH The Governor of Qassim Region Honors Qassim Cement Company for Sponsoring the Saudi International Volunteer Day Forum

This evening, His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Al-Qassim Region, honored Qassim Cement Company for sponsoring the Saudi International Volunteer Day Forum. The event was held at the King Khalid Cultural Center in Buraidah.

During the forum's launch, His Highness congratulated the winners of the Volunteer Award for entities under the Ministry of Interior and commended their excellence in this vital field. He also inaugurated his initiative, the "Mubadroon Award" for volunteer work, aimed at encouraging innovative volunteer initiatives and enhancing the role of volunteers in serving the community.

His Highness expressed his pride in hosting this national event, which reflects the spirit of generosity and loyalty to the nation. He emphasized that volunteer work is one of the fundamental pillars that strengthen social cohesion.

He stated, “Today, we are witnessing an honorable model of volunteer work in the Kingdom, embodying the vision of the wise leadership—may Allah support it—that has made volunteerism one of the key objectives of Vision 2030.” He added that this national forum is not only an opportunity to recognize outstanding efforts but also a competitive platform to raise performance levels and promote the values of cooperation and solidarity among members of the community.

His Highness also highlighted his pride in the achievements of the Emirate of Al-Qassim Region in advancing the objectives of volunteer work, noting that it was among the first to establish a volunteer association at the regional emirate and government entity levels. This association represents a pioneering step in organizing and enhancing volunteer efforts, thereby increasing the impact of volunteer initiatives on the community.

He added, “The Emirate of Al-Qassim is proud of this achievement, which reflects its ongoing commitment to promoting the values of volunteerism and encouraging active participation from individuals and institutions. This aligns with the Kingdom’s ambitious vision.”

Dr. Abdullah Al-Saqr, Deputy Governor of Al-Qassim Region, delivered a speech in which he thanked His Highness the Governor for his continuous support of volunteer initiatives. He emphasized that this support reflects His Highness’s vision of creating a vibrant society enriched by impactful volunteer initiatives. He pointed out that the forum’s organization is a result of His Highness’s guidance and dedication to achieving the goals of volunteer work. Dr. Al-Saqr also expressed his gratitude to the forum’s supporting entities, noting that the success of this event stems from fruitful collaboration among various stakeholders.

It is worth mentioning that the forum features the participation of many organizations supporting volunteer work, showcasing their role in the success of volunteer programs and encouraging volunteerism within the region.
